Do-Si-Do will be a fun way for Baby and you to explore rhythm and movement. Why is rhythm and movement important to your baby? When Baby emerges from the womb and the familiar, steady sound of mother’s heartbeat, his brain begins scanning the disorganized world for patterns, elements of consistency to help him make order out of the chaos. Rhythmic activity provides the recognizable, predictable and patterned information Baby wants to latch on to. Baby begins to apply his developing sense of timing in his every coordinated move—from clapping to crawling to waving bye-bye to cruising to walking. Through the movement in Do-Si-Do, Baby is gaining an awareness of where his body begins and ends, what it is capable of doing, and how to negotiate gravity—no small feats! Baby has much to gain from the rhythm and dance play in this unit.

You can enjoy Wiggles & Giggles home materials at home, in the car and on family outings. Bring the classroom experience into your daily life with songs, illustrated books, activities and music making.
Your child will enjoy wiggling and giggling to the fun activities in Our Time class. We will explore fine motor and large motor skills through songs and poems such as “If You’re Happy and You Know It”, “I Can Wiggle”, “Wishy Washy Wee”, “Lukey’s Boat”, “Little Fish & Big Fish”, “Leap Frog”, “All By Myself” and “Whoops Johnny”.
Children love to play instruments. Your child will love playing sticks to “French Folk Tune” and sandblocks to “Wishy Washy Wee”. A favorite with children is playing egg shakers to “A Ram Sam Sam” and playing jingle bells to the Spanish song, “Tinga Layo”.
Each week, your child is invited to focus and listen to familiar sounds such as bath time sounds, laughing children, elephants, cats and horses.
